Christmas Eve 10 Years Before

Finally Christmas arrives and the year 2017 comes to the end, Yesterday I saw the pictures aunt Yao posted in WeChat, which made me recall the Christmas Eve ten years before.

Dec,24.2007, I nearly forget that joyful day thanks to aunt Yao’s post. That night, my parents and I spent in aunt Yao’s home, who was my God-mother, was a memorable night. The house was used for our group, or in some way, a family church. Most of the members are faithful Christians, including of my parents. I’ll never forget my friends, Bryan and Veronica, son and daughter of aunt Yao. That night , we gathered together in order to celebrate this significant festival. I can see my childhood through my childish face in the photo. Though those days cannot be brought back, they are deeply treasured by myself. I was told by my mother, that I was reading my own article whille I was bursting into tears that time. The article I wrote was about the love of my father. I can still remember the dinner we enjoyed, the present we exchaged, te songs we sang, and most importantly,the wishes we made as well as the prayers we pray.

The family church is just like our second home, or a shelter. Every one in the group is a part that cannot be separated.

Ten years ago, I was a ten-year-old boy, but now i have grown into an adult. So have my friends,Bryan and Veronica. I ought to thank God because without God,we would never be together, or even know each other or be friends. We met and united under the heaven, in this world. No matter how far the distance between us is, no matter hoow long has passed, we are friends forever, because we have the sturdy faith.

In 2008, aunt Yao and her family moved to Beijing and then left China for Canada. We had a dinner last year and I could see Bryan and Veronica grown into teenagers like me. As a sentence goes in a movie,’We will meet again, no matter what kind of use we become, we will recognize each other’
